ERROR 1200<HY000&g t;: The server is not configured as slave;????
I tried making a slave database in another server, i did all the necessary configurations such as putting a unique server-id in both the master server and the slave server... I am also done with the replication of the database using the mysqldump and it already worked with my slave server.... after that, i configured the slave server using the CHANGE MASTER TO option...i filled up all the needed details like the master_log_file and master_log_pos etc..... but when i start the slave server using the START SLAVE option, an error message occured....ERRO R 1200<HY000>: The server is not configured as slave; fix in config file or with CHANGE MASTER TO.....I tried it a couple of times but it always has an error when it comes to this part....can somebody help me with this please????i am really confused because i fallowed all the necessary steps in database replication but it still didnt work...somebody help me please...tnx -

Do NOT double post your questions.
This only serves to cause confusion and to annoy the moderators!
I have merged your 3 threads on this topic into this one thread.
We do our best to respond to all questions as soon as we can but occasionally it may take us a little longer than usual. If you feel that your question has been overlooked (which is rarely that case, I assure you), then feel free to *bump* your thread back up to the top, but do not re-post it in another thread. Having to straighten out the mess does not help our response times!
There is an entire section devoted to this subject in the Posting Guidelines, which we expect that you read before posting here.
Thank you.
