    Does anyone know how to access a MySQL server from vb6?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

                At www.mysql.com they have downloads for the drivers you need to make the
                ODBC connection.
                After download and install go into Control Panel -> ODBC -> and you can
                configure it to your DB from there.

                  At www.mysql.com they have downloads for the drivers you need to make the

                      I'd be interested to know if you got this to work, because I tried it and
                      although connecting is quick, a simple SELECT statement on only 100 records
                      takes over a minute!!

                            When this happens to me in msaccess via odbc, it's because my user id or
                            password is invalid, or blank.
