Gui tools for MySQL

Hello there,

I'm looking for a tool that does for MySQL Db's what Access does for
Jet DB's.

Therefore provides a nice gui to speedup certain tasks and produce
entitiy relationship diagrams. Is there a market leader in this field?
Do people have recommendations ?

I'm actually looking into using Visio for creating my diagrams but it
seems I would have to duplicate entry when creating DB schemas.

I use MySQL's GUI tools for database administration and query prototyping:

There are of course others. You might want to search an archive of this
newsgroup for the words like "Access" and "GUI" and find other
recommendations :

For graphical database design, there are many options, both freeware and
commercial. MySQL's web site has a partner area where you can search to
find lots of software titles in different categories:

I use DBDesigner 4 when I need an ER design tool:

I don't know of anything that provides the forms-based application
programming environment similar to MS Access, except for, uh, MS Access.
You can use Access for front-end UI development, with MySQL as the
back-end data storage:

You could link access to MySQL via the MySQL ODBC drivers and
create entity relationships.
