    I cant telnet in linux

    Hi Sir/Madam,
    I have problem I cant ping and telnet from backup server to another computer, and I am able to ping and telent from other computer to my backup server. When I ping the result is trying 127.1.1.2....af ter some minutes the result is telnet connection timeout. It is a big problem for me if you help me as soon as possible.

    Are you sure 127.1.1.2 is the address of the remote machine?

    Please post an ifconfig from each machine - 127.0.0.1 is the 'loopback' address that means route to local machine, I can't imagine 127.1.1.2 is valid unless it's a local address that's not being handled properly.
