Problem in using RECORD of Xnee

I use debian software and have tried to install Xnee by apt-get install....it was installed but when i was trying to run Record and use DISPLAY cudnt do that........... ...Can anyone please help me in this Xnee installation also??I have also tried to install in Redhat system version 4 and was there also could not find the libXtst for RECORD and Xtest.........T hank you in advance
