X,Y Coordinates:

Can I ask somebody how to position the cursor or output character in a shell?
To define the X and Y coordinates.

I know I'm resurrecting the dead here, but nobody replied yet so I figured I might as well...

I don't know what your using to generate output, but if your using linux and you want to use C/C++ you can use ncurses to do this. I wont go into how it works, you can google or man for that (man ncurses).
