close popup when session expires

Hi all,

I have a page in asp.net. A button click in the page will open a pop-up. I have used btn.attributes. add("onclick", ""); to open the pop-up.

Now if session is expired, it is opening the pop-up window and in the pop-up it is showing the login screen.

Is there any way in which i can avoid pop-up being opened if the session is expired?

wouldn’t this be the obvious thing, to show a login screen, when the session is expired?

oterwise, because sessions are a server thing, you need to verify, whether the session is expired first. this could be a page reload (which should cause a different JavaScript) or an AJAX call (which triggers some JS function).

It is showing login screen in the pop-up page which i dont want. if session is expired it should open pop-up screen knw
