Menu creation

Hi to all,

I want to create a menu, it should like when i focus the main menu--> sub menu as to display --> if i focus to sub menu --> next submenu should display.

how can i start this with help of this javascript or AJax.

Can anyone give some idea to start with that please,

though they mostly use horizontal menus, it is possible to style the menu vertically (but that's only a matter of the used CSS).
