    Temp File

    Hi,
I know this isnt the right place to post but I thought maybe some kind soul
could help! I'm looking to clean up my pc a bit and get some disk space
back. My Temp file in Winnt is very very heavy. Is ther some cleaning up I
can do or are all the files essential?
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    S.

As long as no other programs are open (especially Office), it is safe to
delete anything *.tmp or *.TMP from your HDD. (at least, I've never had
    it kill anything)

Don't forget to empty your recycle bin.

Then run the defrag utility - this can take several hours, but on a
heavily fragmented drive, can really speed things up.

Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is
    serious.

So why didn't you pick a group that would be more suitable to your OS?
Do you not think that you would get better answers there than you would
in one that's for JavaScript queries?

I always run Scandisk before Defrag.

          Shouldn't that read `Cancel'?

"I know this is a bakery, but all I need is sausage. You know,
there are hot dogs, so I thought maybe some kind soul here could
          help!"

          Go away.
