browse computer

Hi everyone,

I've searched for a while now, but i cant find out how to do this. I'm trying to make a website where a user can click a button and lets them browse their computer to find a file. Like if your at a website and you have to upload something, you click a button and you find the file to upload. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this clear or not. I'm assuming it might be a javascript function, or maybe visual basic. Honestly I have no clue and any input would be awesome.

The only way you can allow a user to browse their computer using standard elements/code is with an input file element (to upload).

What is the browsing for?
