AJAX without Javascript

Is it possible to perform AJAX operation without using javascript(usin g some other scripts)?

hi ...

ajax = asynchronous javascript and xml ... so it is not possible ... may be you could use vbscript with IE since the XMLHttpRequest-Object is an MS ActiveX coomponent in IE ... but that would be a pure IE solution ...
