    onmouseover

    I am creating a homepage webpage.

    I have created an 800x600 image with various sections that I am using as
    buttons, these have been mapped out using an ImageMap in HTML. Is there
    any way that I can get the basic image button (which is incorporated into
    the main image) to change when I roll over it.

    Some sample code :

    <IMG SRC="bg.png" WIDTH=800 HEIGHT=600 BORDER=0 USEMAP="#map">

    <MAP NAME="map">
    <AREA SHAPE="POLY" COORDS="157,299 ,218,299,219,27 8,223,259,228,2 41,
    170,220,165,236 ,161,255,157,28 3,157,299"HREF= "file:/about.html">
    </MAP>

    I know about onmouseover but I dont think I can apply that here.

    Any ideas, most appreciated.

    Boy, that sucks for those of us who surf with images off.

      Yep, and an 800x600 image file is non-trivial even for those with good
      bandwidth. You're cutting out everyone who does not have broadband. And
      everyone who doesn't have their window maximised. And everyone who isn't
      using an 800x600 screen resolution. And everyone who uses a browser that
      doesn't hide the task bar, window frame, and menus.

      I hope you and your cousin enjoy the site :-) Probably no one else will
      :-(
