    Javascript versus Iframed

    Hey all -

The company I work for allows sites to run ads in exchange for revenue.

We've recently run into two issues:
    1) Ads are displaying blanks in IE 6 and 7 (never in Firefox, Opera).
-No frequency caps are set on the ads so that shouldn't be an issue
Typically the tags were just straight javascript tags with the usual <---begin---> and <--end-->. Out of curiosity I wondered if the sites were confused with the js code, so I sent over iframed versions of the tags and for some reason that seemed to get rid of the issue.

Does anyone know why that got rid of the issue? Does anyone know why the issue was occurring in the first place? (It happened across several different machines, all using IE). Is there any disadvantage to using iframe tags for my purposes?

    2) Don't Be With Errors

The error seems to generally be "object doesn't support this property or method." (after changing the settings in I.E). Would iframes helps with this as well? Also, any explanation of what the error means?

    Thanks for any help,

    Raj

    Hi Raj, welcome to TSDN!

Can you post an example of the code causing the error?
