Response text in ajax

Is the use of response text in ajax is a false method. I heard that we have to use XML tags instead of response text.

It depends on your response from the server and your particular application.

a better solution than using xml is actually to use JSON , what you do is you send your json down and then make an eval statement to the responsetext.

The code is better to use, especially cause browsers tend to have different settings for xml
