.focus cannot function

i have 1 textbox... and 1 combobox.
i want to set after i change the value of combobox, it will reload the page,
after reload the page, it will check see whether the combobox is blank, if it not a blank, the cursor will focus in next textbox.

previously, i had done this. but after i change/design my page into frame form. it will occur the cursor lose(don't know focus where). the page i have no modify at all.

after i face this problem, i try to type the key TAB...the cursor appear again and focus the textbox. why will like that ..??? mayb i can say...i'm sure that my coding is no problem. becos not all pc will face this problem. (e.g. the pc i using to delevep is no problem, some of other pc that operate will face this prblem)

i'm using internet 7.0 / 6.0. win xp pro.

can anyone tell me why...??

I think you are after the onChange event.

do you reload the entire page? or only one (i)frame? when do you try to set the focus? in the onload of the framesource? or from outside the frame?

Post some code. In the onload event, put the focus on the textbox.
