Format of the javascript use confirm box

I had confuse the confirm box format..if the user have click the ok button in the message box..then i want to know what is the value of the ok button..

can someone help me..if can guide with the standard format of confirm box as well as alert box..

For confirm box it is valid to get the value of Yes and No button or OK/CANCEL.
but for alert box it is illogical.
