    Cut testing time in half

As a fellow web application developer, I hated the testing phase of the project.

Typing in the data, having a bug or it crash, fixing (hopefully) the problem, then typing in all the data again to re-test, only to have it crash at some other line of code, fixing that one, etc. You get the picture.

I've decided to streamline that process and have developed some code to save the data once filled in, then recall it in milliseconds to shorten my test times.

I'm looking for some help. I need a few Javascript application developers to beta test this technology to make sure it works in many scenarios.

In return, I'll give you a 1 year free subscription to the service for your feedback and testimonial when the system launches in Jan 2007.

Please go to http://www.TheSaveYour .biz and perform the demos and sign up as a beta tester.

Thanks for everyone's help and tell your friends also.

If you're talking about form data (as an example), there are already plugins and software which will remember and fill fields in for you... Even so, anyone who does such extensive application coding is probably more than capable enough of recreating the exact same method you are using (which appears to be storing the information in cookies, without actually checking to deeply). Either that or some ajax to write the input then replace it when there's a matching cookie.

Being completely honest, I don't think there's a big market for your software within developer circles.

    All the same, good luck.

Actually, I have been looking for a good web automation tool for the better part of a year now. This week I found a couple of tools that might do the trick (WET and Web Replay 2, and I haven't even started to use them yet); but when looking for a tool that can easily automate the testing of web applications without using a proprietary language I feel like I would have an easier time finding a griffin.

If the previous submitter can find a way to automate the user experience for a web application, and allow his customers to easily create and/or maintain tests (with the option of hiring him to do the same ; ) then I think he could have a decent business running.

The big hurdle I've seen so far is JavaScript. Nearly every "web automation" tool that I have encountered so far chokes on JavaScript. Sometimes I could test my app if it would just ignore the JavaScript, but I've had tests not run because there was some "unidentifi ed JavaScript" on the page as well, geesh!

        Good Day,

On seeing this opportunity, I feel that I will be able to help you testing your software. I have the expertise in the software and the time and work requirements specified by you in this listing. I have a hi-speed connection to work effectively from home: - the reason is a re-location of my spouse to Oman, Muscat from Bangalore.

I have worked in the testing environment for the past 5 years. My last profile as detailed in my resume is of a "QA Manager". I have handled multiple overseas projects and a large team of 15, integrating the two smoothly. I have written and reviewed all Test and Technical documents for the end-user/client’s reference and usage and have trained my team on Rational Test Suite, Mercury and Silk.

My career and learning growth of 9 years in all, also extends to having worked in fields of Market Research, Customer Relations, Health Service, Media, Advertising, Banking and the Dotcom. Test Environments were completed on High Level Databases and applications such as Java, J2EE, EJB 1.1, JSP, Pramati Studio, Performance Studio, ASP, Web logic 5.1, Oracle 8i, MS-Access & SQL Server side applications.

My yahoo chat id is: [EDIT: Removed per site rules] .in through which I can be contacted.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

        Warm Regards

I like what my fellow moderator had to say about this type of posting:

Also, this is not the jobs forum, neither is it a job bidding site. Instead, it is a forum where users post questions and other users answer them. The OP had questions and needs an answer. If you have an answer, then pipe in and post it for everyone to see and share in.
