Make tooltip text visible longer

The length of time the text that displays (tooltip) from a mouseover
is sometimes too short. Can this time be lengthened?

it's supposed to stay on as long as you leave mouse over whatever is
supposed to trigger rollover ..

if what you have is a typical rollover triggered with the 'onmouseover'
event handler, for example, whatever is displayed when you roll yr mouse
over it stays as long as yr mouse is over it.. hope this makes sense.. :)

No. It's up to the OS or browser (depending which controls the object) to
decide how, and for how long, tooltips are displayed.
