Problem apture errors from SQLServer in IE

How i can recover an error (type Primary Key, data convertion,..) from a
SQLServer via ODBC?

I work with IE.

What has this to do with ECMAScript and implementations such as JavaScript?

That would be JScript as language but I do not know why this information
should be important here. Please explain.
