Why deploying java application on glassfish 3.1 returns exception?

I was trying to run the pet catalog sample application which comes with Netbeans IDE 6.9.1 by the time I run it I get the following error message

    HTTP Status 500 -

descriptionThe server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

    root cause

note The full stack traces of the exception and its root causes are available in the GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3.0.1 logs.

    -----------
The error says the table or view does not exist but I can access the database from the IDE

and I have also configured sun-resource.xml so I would appreciate your help

    thanks
