    Hi
    I am very new to java.
    I have made one application for inventory mgmt.
    I want some ready code to read data from barcode scanner or rs232 port.
    If any of have such code than please help me

    I tollaly dislike being sour pus, but have you tried searching our forum before asking? I think you would find what you need....

    Here, you can post your code and show some effort, we'll help guide you through it.

    Here, you will also also find something already posted, but you'll need to fetch religiously, I love to do that... you have no idea what help I can find here...

    Google is also your friend if all else fails... your choice:-)

      From what I understand about barcode scanners is that usually the come with drivers and SDK (software developer kits) that let you interact with them.

      Try researching the drivers for your scanner first and see if there is any documentation on how to use them. If you can't find anything like this then you should contact the company that creates the scanner and ask them how to connect to and use their scanner.

      Please note that sometimes companies require you to purchase their software developers kits (APIs)...
