            So you want to write one?
            Start by learning Java then. You'll need to bookmark the thread titled "Read this first" at the top of these forums. Once you get good Java SE knowledge, you can then proceed to downloading and reading Sun's JavaEE tutorial.

              I will learn by making this website! i dont know java at all, i just dont know jsp servlet and web services. Im going to do this project use my book and learn in the process i just want relavent information if i get stuck

                Your book should tell you that knowing JavaSE is a prerequisite to developing web applications in Java. Which means there is no point in reading that book before understanding basic Java concepts.
                The book will not teach you Java. It will assume that you already know Java and teach you web programming using Java.

                  i already done the java basics, what i meant by new to java is im new not that i dont know jack. I work as a C# programmer and i already done one book on java i just dont know jsp and servlets... all i want is extra references than my book for help
