    Java Web Start???

Should we always use a web site to access a swing application through "Java Web Start"? If not, how can we define the "jnlp codebase" for the Lacal Network Directory?

It's all explained in the deployment section on Sun's tutorial.

Can't I access the same database through another machine with an installed Swing Application by directly giving the host name, database name, user and the password? Becuase I can't publish a web site to use this. I just want to run my tool within a small network consisted of several PCs. I just want to access data which stored on a single machine, through several other machines!

      Thanks!
