i m doing program for remote software installation. how answer file is prepared for software installation ? and how it is used?

What do you mean with "answer file"? I can only guess, that you mean a component of your program which is executed on the remote computer. If so, have a look at the java.net library, especially Servers and Clients.Originally posted by swatibksh
By the way, depending on how exactly you want to do the installation, Java might not be the best choice, as it was created to not access system files.
