SCPJ and SCJP exam

Hi There,

I have to prepare for SCJP exam. I got a book by Khalid Mughal but it has mentioned SCPJ in its preface instead of SCJP. Is SCJP different exam from SCPJ?

I think it's a typo (SCJP == Sun Certified Java Programmer); that's what happens
when people quickly throw a book together for some easy money: they can't
even spell their own subject right.

Khalid Mughal is a very good book for preparation of SCJP. Another very fine book is kathey ciera (not sure abt spelling, sorry if spelled wrong).

And best way of preparing is to read it, try examples and come here if
you have any doubts. You will find people like JosaH, prometheuzz, ro35198x and lots more who are eager to help people in need and mind it they are really people with great ideas. I often get guided by them.
In return I always try to reply to posts which I could whenever I get time of my busy schedule; (I wish I could do more to show my thankfullness). Over all its a great network with great people, be a part of it and I assure you, you will really love it.

Note: khalid mughal is for jdk1.4, and kathy ciera is for jdk1.5. Make sure which exam you are going to prepare for.

SCJP and SCPJ are same to me.

SCJP = Sun Certified Java Programmer 1.4
SCPJ = Sun Ceritified Programmer for Java Edition 1.4

unless you have get another meaning for SCPJ.

if you're really only focus to pass the examination, you would love go for Kathy and Berts book.
If want more specific details on java language, then khalid book is good for you.
