Playing RuneScape with Java does not work...

Hi, I play an online game called RuneScape. Yeah, I've seen discussions about this already, but I don't understand. Well, here's the problem. Playing RuneScape requires Java, right? Well, my computer restarts when I play RuneScape. I think it has something to do with Java. I've read other threads on how to prevent my computer to turn off and did everything they say, but it still does. At the detail screen for RuneScape, you have a choice of using 4 kinds of Javas or whatever you call it (I'm not a computer genius). I used to play the default Java, but then it restarted my computer. Then I switched to Sun Java, and after playing using that for a few weeks, my computer restarted. Finally, I started to used an unsigned version of the default Java. I played for a couple of more weeks, and then it restarted. The only one left was the Microsoft Java, but it is only found on the old computers (windows from 1999 and something like that). What can I do?

Dear, there's only one Java. If you were talking about MSJVM then you may want to read this.

I have also found this problem, it happens after you rebooted your computer after installing 6u1 version of java.

To fix this go to your controll panel>Add or Remove programs then look for java, you should have two different versions there, 5u11 and 6u1 uninstall 6u1 and reboot you computer.

      Hope this helps.

Eat Lots has the correct solution i have been having this same exact problem. Don't update to Java 6u1 there has been many bug reports on this version so, if you dont want your computer resetting everytime you play, Uninstall Java 6u1
