After learning HTML and CSS I wanted to learn Java. I have an old pc pentium II
running win98 2nd.ed. I downloaded this old version of Java because the newer releases won't work on my pc. I got a book which really covers Java 1.1. and tried to run the first simple program HelloWorld.It does not work.It's no use for me to keep studying unless I can make this silly little example work. I even tried with textpad which I downloaded, I see a little more action but I get an error message saying invalid flag something. I tried typing the program on a dos edit window, save it with java ext. then in a second window compile it with javac and filename, nothing. Can you help me?
