    Calendar event applette

I don't know if this is the correct group to post to, but if I am in
the wrong group please redirect me.

I am not a programmer but a web master. I am looking for a java
applette/javascript that would do the following:

    Display the current month calendar.
As the days of the month pass those days are greyed out (not really
    required)
As the cursor is passed over the days of the month a ballooon/popup
screen appears detailing events for that day of the week.
The events are kept in a text file where the details of the events for
each day are kept. There may be more than one event per day and not
all days will have an event.

If the calendar could be customised with pictures, etc so much the
    better.

Is there such a program and where might I find it?
    Thanks in Advance

It's certainly possible to design such an applet in Java, but I don't
know of any such one. You could hire me to write one for you though.

Thank you for the invite. In round dollars what would an applet such
      as this cost to program?

Depending on what you want it to look like, the "popup balloon on
mouse-over" part may be a bit tricky. Also, it depends on how much
"customisabilit y with pictures" you want to allow.

If we keep it simple, and you let me maintain ownership of the program
(so that, e.g., I could sell it to other people as well), how about $25 USD?
If it gets fancy, and/or you want to be sole owner of the program (so that I
have no rights to the program after I've written it), then it'll be somewhat
        more expensive.

Maybe e-mail me off group so we can work out the details of exactly how
you want your calendar to look and behave. You can reach me at
        owong@castortec h.com.
