    Learning java by C++ programmer

    Hi,

    I am a C++ programmer with 5 yrs of experience. I wish to learn java
    as quickly as possible.

    Please tell me approximately how much time it can take an expert C++
    programmer to learn java. And what are the good books to start with?

      If you're an expert C++ programmer - you should know how to learn a
      language - get a book - live in the API a while and code code code

          To follow up - sorry, I forgot to recommend a book,
          There are so many in so many different styles - and I have over 15 -
          Some books explain different parts of the language in different ways -
          I like Murach's book at www.murach.com
          and Savitch explains GUI programming very well in his books
          another book is coming on strong - and I like it also - Head First Java
