I am new to UML, I would like to know how can represent JAVA's
ArrayList and HashMap with UML diagram? How can I represent the
element's class in the ArrayList/HashMap? How is the key in the
HashMap represented?

Did you ever get an answer to your question? I'm trying to figure out how best to represent a map in UML myself...
