Session not working for classic ASP on iis7 and vista(home premium)

    Hi friends,

I have a classic ASP website running on win XP and IIS 6 ,which was running fine.

Recently i migrated to vista home premium. Initially i faced database error(500 internal server error) for all the dsn pages , which i rectified myself.

But even now it is still throwing up same ( 500 internal server ) error whenever I use session variables on any page......

Could anyone please tell me how to enable session objects for classic ASP in IIS 7.

Waiting for a helping hand........... ....

Probably not, I initially wondered whether the session was being handled differently. Most likely a server problem the OS. Home edition is difficult to get to act as a server.

          Hi friends,

          Thanks for all ur replies.......

I tried tinkering around and have solved the session`s issue........Bu t there is still one issue left......

I get a servre error whenever i try to write into a database.... "The error is- The object you are seeking does not exist"

It is able to read from the same database without any flaw but cant write into it............ any Idea about the soln for this one???

Double check your connection string, are you using the same one as when you read?

I also migrated to Vista recently. My asp pages with database connerctivity with MS Access are giving Server 500 Error in the Conn.open statement

Can you please guide me as to how you resolved the problem?

              Regards
