    Software for creating windows help file (.hlp)

    Does anyone know of good software to create a windows help file? .hlp
    There seems to be tons out there, but the ones lately I've tried so far aren't that great.

    Looking for both free and commercial tools for this task.

    (We tried creating a wiki, but that got shut down by management...:( )

          Strange, nukefusion's asked pretty much the same thing.

          I suggested a tool called RoboHelp but it's not cheep (starting at almost $1000.00 USD). It produces all kinds of help documentation (web and compiled help). It's definitely a lot better than the free "Html Help Workshop" tool.

          Are you creating API documentation for .NET code?
          Because I'm working on a 3 part article right now that explains how to do this quickly and professionally.
