Link will not work on page only in the url

I have a friend that is having a real funny problem. She will get to a page that has a link that says follow here and here is underlined. If you place the cursor over the here you can see the url at the botton of the page, but when you click on it nothing happens. I tried open in a new tab and that showed the new tab as connecting but nothing ever comes up. If I type the web address in the URL it comes up fine. I try the save thing on my machine and everything works fine. This happens on many different web sites. She has one called allmyfaves.com which show all kind of links but none of then work on her machine, they all work on mine. She uses Quest but I don't think that should make a difference.
Any body got any Ideas as to what could be going on and how to fix it. Thanks for any help from both myself and my friend.

Tell your friend to validate her markup.

        Which browser is she using?

Has she tried a different browser?
If not, I would do that. (Hint: Firefox)

She is using MSN, but it did the same when I brought up Explorer. It was working before she said but then stopped working a couple of months ago. At that time she didn't know what to do so she would just type the web address in the URL. I guess I could try Foxfire and see what happens.

That is always a good idea.
Even if it doesn't solve your problem, you will have a real browser on your PC ;)
