Keep date modified when copying files to CD

What can I do to preserve date files modified when copying files to cd? It shows date copied instead. I use date modified to organise. Or is there another means of copying files and keeping date modified? Ta much from nicemusic

probably use an actual software that is made for burning files? instead of just windows? and if worst comes to worst? how about just burning a text file with the file name, directory, and date modified before you burn it, oh wait, i think i read it wrong? its gonna change the date modified because when u copy it, i think its opening it and thats considered modifying it maybe...?

    *im not sure..
