    Microsft Office 2003 execution issue

    Hi all

I hope I am in the right forum here. Th issue I have is as follows. I recently upgraded from Office 2002 to Office 2003 SP3.

Now, if I browse the network or my pc and try to launch a Office document by double clicking on it, the application launches, but does not load the document I clicked on. I can open the document fine when selecting File-Open. This is occuring for all Office dosuments.

I have tried an Office repair. Also applied the "1%" fix to folder options.

I have also looked on the Microsoft site for a hotfix for this, but cannot find anything.

Are you receiving any errors when you try to open the document?
    If so please post them.

I have had this problem before where I go to open a file and it opens word but it gives me an error, and never opens the doc it just starts Word and leaves it open.

      Hi there

Thanks for the quick reply. Nope Word/Excel/Access all opens fine, no error except that it is loaded blank(grey background)

Right, out of desperation I have deleted Offcie 2003 for the nth time now. I then went and removed and possible Office application files/folders I could find on my system. Restarted and then reinstalled Office. I then kept getting the same issue as before. So I kept opening documents via File - Open . That was yesterday. And now today all of a sudden, when I double click a document ( .xls,.doc etx ) it open in the application window now. So dont ask me how I did it, hence the reason I have inclede everything I have done above.

        Happy days again!
