    what is csv format file

    i want to know what is csv format file.the only thing i know is it is used for some data management like excel.

    so should we have to use some utiltiy like excel to make csv file or
    we can convert excel to csv file

    any help is apprecited i want to make some data in csv file so that why
    i am posting this question
