Question re Crystal reporting

Hi there.
I am trying to make an amendment to a crystal report but when I insert a field it immediately accesses the database and then I get an error as I dont have access to that database on my machine. Is there a way to turn off the automatic accessing of the database. That way once i have made the amendment I can transfer the report and it should work. Hope this makes sense

If you don't have access the database you can't change the database fields.
