Try creating a free blog first (say at live journal or blogger) and get the idea of blogging before you go tryng to make one for your site.

First, maybe a little blog history will help you. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, try creating a blog at one of the free sites and examine them.

Plus, read the documentation for things like "WordPress" , which is blogging software.
