Convert auto-numbering to text?

HI Folks,

I'm using Word and need to convert autonumbering to text, there is a function that will do this, I just can't find it (I have used it before, can't remember what its called though) !! - I don't suppose anyone knows ?

you need to select the following in Word.

Format---->Bullets and Numbering -----> customize---->Number style .
