activex error

can someone help me im new to computers my active x is doing my head in when i try to do a bet with william hill online it says error on page or wont display the page it is something to do with activex controlls i dont know what to do please help

I just signed up and have been helping people but am not being signed up for threads where I reply for instant email notifications without going to the control panel and expressly changing them to instant notification even though I have configured my options area to have instant notifications by default -- am I missing something or is that option just moot and one needs to manually setup instant notifications?

hmmm ... i'm not very familiar with activeX ... so i think i'll send your question over to the misc. questions forum ... may be its a configuration problem ... please post your IE version and the error-message too ...
