Adding image

i want to add an image into my first page of the program. please let me know the followings:

1. image resulation, format, size
2. adding method
3. other properties

are u refering to a splash screen? if so, what language are you using?

the image size is up to you, just don't make it too big (will go off screen for low res users) and don't make it too small (not readable for high res users).
