Assembly language for the Intel Celeron D 350 ( Prescott )

    Well, hello again!

First post to the misc. section. ( usually in C/C++ )

Anyway, the title pretty much says it all...

I was wondering what assembly language is used for this particular processor.

Oh, and how different, if at all, would the asm for this processor be from the asm
for say, an AMD Athlon. ( any version )

( In both instances, we are running win-doze xp, if that matters )

I appreciate any help you can give, and if you need more information, just let me know.

    Lates,

Assembly language is identical on all Intel and AMD processors. However, AMD did, at one time, have some additional instructions not found on Intel chips related to graphics and mathematical functions. But these are well marked in the documentation in case you are concerned about using them only to find out too late that Intel doesn't have them.

The only other concern would be the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit processors, Code for AMD and Intel, again, are the same but changes would be needed for 32-bit code to run on a 64-bit processor.

So feel free to assume that anything you write in asm will run on AMD and Intel chips without concern.
