"Abnormal Program Termination" normally means that the program has done something it should have, for instance tried to access a memory address that has no memory present at it.
The is not a lot you can do about it. Make sure you have the correct/latest version of the drivers for your hardware is about the only thing I can suggest you do.
Other than that check the manufacturers website for patches or a forum where you can ask a similar question.
I am moving this to miscellaneous discussions as it is not really a C/C++ question. -

Hello, yes this is ceretainly a problem for most of us. I think the major problem is the Duo core 2 processors. Here is a fix that worked for me.
Install the game, but do not attempt to play. Download this file from...
http://www.securom.com/support/customers/vugames/Swat4_t082v7/swat4.zip
Save into your documents.
Go into (C:/program files/sierra/swat4/content/system
Change the file SWAT4 *file with the black icon*, by renaming the file to SWAT4.exe~ then leave this system folder open
Go into your documents and unzip the downloaded file from the above address. Once unzipped it should appear as a SWAT4 window icon. Drag and drop this icon into the open system file folder. Closed all open windows and try playing. Should be a fix to your problems.Comment

I have a PC with a dual core processor (usually Dell or HP).
- Solution: This problem is caused by the Securom copy protection. You need a new Swat4.exe file to start your game. Here is how to get it (source)
- Right click on your SWAT 4 or SWAT 4 Stetchkov Syndicate Icon
- Click on LAUNCH ANALYSIS
- Click yes on the message
- Then you should get a message saying you got a analysislog file
- Next go to http://www.securom.com/ and go to the customer support
- Email them and attach the analysis file to your email
- Once you get the email (Email arrival may vary) follow the instructions it gives you
- Please dont use one of the exe-files that you can find on the official forums because they will only work in single player, you need a special exe modified by Securom so that it matches your own copy of Swat 4
