I have a problem, i chated on msn with some person that has a way of accessing my computer and seeing everything that i do
i am not a programer and i joined this forum just to seek help for my problem

please tell me how can i stop this, i am afraid of losing my data

nothing was erased yet but i am afraid....

how do i change my IP
which antivirus and firewall progs are the best, i dont have computer for a long time so i dont know much

and i dont have money for buying programs so it has to be free

or u could discontect the ethrnet cable and he doesn't have access then after that change ur ip with your provider and tell them about the problem.

I wouldn't know, I'm not adpet at that kind of stuff.

One way could be they got your IP from it and then used that to find an opening in your ports. I would also be inclined to believe that just changing your IP may not stop it. You may well have to isolate the virus and get rid of it or reformat and get rid of everything.

most of these people r very skilled in wat they do, so he got your msn and traced it back to ur computer,while your talking he checked out ur computer for a back door and there was and installed the virus. therefore he can acess ur computer and delet or even take credit card numbers if u online bank and also that stuff.

if i were u i would get a new internet provider and dump ur 1 right if u don't like it, but if u really r scared.

question do u know the email address cause if u do u can get the internet provider to trace it back to where it comes from.

or if ur really scared shit less then just get a new computer or delet the hard drive and and reinstall the operating system.

ok, you said that i could format my hard drive
i have 2 partitions could i youst format system partition and install new windows and leave everything on the other partition intact?
I have a lot of music and that kind of stuff that is important to me
i dont use internet for paying bills or that kind of stuff so there is no wories for that.

Unless you allow them access it's not from what I know. Do you have remote assistance turned on?
