You should really be reading a text about this. The main characteristic of the P2P network is that it relies on the network rather than on the end computers. There are no clients and servers, everyone is deemed equal. No computer is more equal than another. This is the opposite of client server networks. Most networks however use both P2P and C/S architecture for different tasks.
