    Outlook 2007 Quick Parts

I have various links setup to pages on our site in quick parts so we can insert them quickly.

Problem i have is that some of them change the font and link colour even though it is normal in the quick part file.

Has anyone come across this before and if so have they found a solution

    thanks

Your description is quite vague; however, sounds like Automatic Formatting As You Type.

I find this to be a nuisence, esp. HTML or Email address in a letter so I turn this off.

nothing there seemed to work i will try and eplain better, we have about 150 links to seperate pages on our site http://www.yaketyyak.co.uk/

when i use quick parts to put the links in most of links appear with the underline in the usual link blue but every now and again and not on every pc i get them in odd lighter blues

i am sure this is something to do with the format on the email i am replying to but its strange it does not happen with all the links

There are various styles that can be applied to links. It can be different depending on if you're hovering over it, clicking it, have visited it before, is the active link, or none of the above. If we're talking about a web page, you can change the styles. If we're talking about outlook, it may be possible to change the html body of the message to change the style. Or it may be in the options, in which case there's nothing you can do about that.

I suspect that your text differences have to do with the assignment of the hyperlink to the text prior to adding it to the quick parts.

If so, is this what you are talking about happening:
            [imgnothumb]http://bytes.com/attachments/attachment/6724d1352922207/bytesthread_944 359_outlookqp.j pg[/imgnothumb]

The two lines of text showing the URL do not have a hyperlink assigned to them... in fact I used the first line to add the text to the quick parts and then used QP to insert it a second time.

I then use the QP to insert a third time... this time at the top of the message. I then assigned the hyperlink (thus the blue and underline) and used this to add to the QP (shown in the bottom box of the dropdown).

To verify, please check that text that is suposed to be hyperlinked has that property set when you insert it from the QP and so forth.

Almost but all of the qp are links in blue but when inserted some of the appear a grey/blue then sometime if I delete the end so link is removed the add it back it turns blue and sometimes it stays the grey/blue colour!!!

Have you tried to delete the "wrong" version of the text from the QP-picker and then add back in the corrected version?

Try the following - don't include the paragraph mark
This will make more sense once you read this: Create reuseable text blocks for e-mail messages
