    Which PDF Reader

Foxit is about 10 times faster than Adobe. Besides that, if you want to edit PDF, it doesn't cost much (the reader is free).

I've been using Adobe for years and use the pdf writer to create pdf files usually, although I have distiller. I wouldn't change unless I was guaranteed portability to all my clients as I normally forward documents in this format.

Yep, you are right about production tools. Mostly I am impressed with how fast Foxit is (as a free reader) compared to Adobe. I learned about it while trying to solve a problem with IE7 on an M$ forum.

PDF-XChange is far and way the best reader that I've ever used. Although I haven't tried their pay-for products, I suspect that they are also spectacular.
