Can we delete dmp files in the DB2 Database?

Hi,

There are lot of files like core.20090924.1 05958.2816.dmp are created in the D:\IBM\SQLLIB\T OOLS path. We can delete these files with no effect on the system. Please suggest me I am new to DB2 and the file system is quickly filling up.

No, you cannot, at least not without effect on the system.

The effect on the system, if you are deleting those files is that you will have more free disk space....
(i do not say anything here about your database!)

I think it will be more important to find out WHY these files get created?
