    Migrating from AIX DB2 V.8.1 FP 13 to WINDOWS DB2 V8.1 FP 9

    Hello everyone,

    Would like to ask if it's possible to migrate the IXF files i exported from AIX DB2 V 8.1 FP 13 to WINDOWS DB2 V8.1 FP 9? What will be the impact of restoring with different FP?

      Hello Princesmay,

      it depends on what will be in the .ixf files ... if there are just values and constraints it should not be a problem ... the problem can come with triggers and such ...

          if your import is successful and you don't see any any errors then there shouldn't be any issue.

          But what is the reason for you bein g on V 8.1 and that too on FP9. A lot of fixes has been introduced fopr known reasons for windows. So apply the latest fixpack and enjoy working with UDB. :)
