    ERROR:SQL1220N

    Hi guys

    I keep recieving this error while installing express c db2 on debian.

    ERROR:SQL1220N

    ERROR:SQL1220N The database manager shared memory set cannot be
    allocated.

    ERROR:An error occurred while trying to start the "meisam" instance.
    The return
    code is "2" and the SQL Message is: "PROCESS_ER ROR"


    would you please help me to resolve it?

      Hi Meisam,

      Have you already updated your kernel tuneables as recommended? The
      following link has the recommendations for DB2 9.5, other releases may
      vary:

      Also, have you checked in your db2diag.log to see if there were any
      other useful diagnostics reported?
